 “Leadership is not a position or title; it is an action and example.” My sisters and Patron of Esther Chapter #7, thank you for your trust in me to serve as your matron another year.  Welcome to a new year of shared purpose, faith, and charity.   In this seat, I have learned to be more attentive and learned to see the needs of the chapter.  It has been a road that has been met with much uncertainty and along the way, I have learned the true meaning of heavy is the head that wears the crown.  It is a joy to gather again, united, by bonds of sisterhood, love, and our shared faith in God.  As I reflect on the past year, I celebrate and recognize the remarkable acts of charity and compassion that have strengthened our community, our connection to each other and the hope brought to those in need.  Your love in action has been a testament to God’s grace working through us.  This year, my mission is to “increase;” in the love we give to each other, the sisterhood we share, the charity we give to others and the dedication to the order. 

As we continue to walk in faith, let us deepen our commitment to one another and to those we are called to serve.  May sisterhood inspire us, love sustain us, and God guide us as we build upon the foundation of last year’s blessings. As I take this seat this final year, I would be remised if I did not acknowledge those who came before me and those who are aspiring to come after.  Know that each of us should be able to take the lead in any position of this chapter.  Know that with every new leader, will come new ways of leadership.  May you be open to allowing those to advance and welcome those who want to learn and remain as they are.  We all have a rightful and important place. 

Without each other, we cannot grow together for the betterment of who we serve and to one another.  May this year remind us that through God, we find purpose through love, we find strength to continue forward, and through sisterhood, we find unwavering support.  Let us open our hearts, embrace one another, and walk forward in faith and unity, knowing that we are truly blessed.  I am excited to be amongst you this year and excited to see what the year brings us.  Thank you again for your continued dedication and support these years.
