2025 Matrons Theme
Legacy of Love: Passing the Torch of Sisterhood
As members of Karen Chapter #4 Order of the Eastern Star, we are united by a timeless bond of love, service, and sisterhood. The phrase "Legacy of Love: Passing the Torch of Sisterhood"; reminds us of our shared commitment to uplift one another, honor the wisdom of those who came before us, and guide the generations to come with grace and purpose. Each sister plays a vital role in this legacy, lighting the way for others through acts of charity, truth, and loving-kindness. As we continue to pass the torch, we strengthen the bonds that connect us, creating a legacy that shines brightly for years to come. Let us honor our past and embrace the present of our sacred sisterhood by leading with love, serving with compassion, and lifting one another higher. Together, we carry the light forward.

Our mission is to serve. We are dedicated to Charity, Truth, and Loving Kindness. We establish
guidelines with an atmosphere conducive to performance, excellence, and achievements in the
works of the Order of The Eastern Star. To comfort, protect, and aid each other in our quest for
knowledge as we journey through the labyrinth of Human Life.
We strive to be the ideal daughter, widow, wife, sister, and mother. We open ourselves to
befriend each human being and treat them with the love and hospitality that we have established
within the Chapter. To offer support, we pull together when a Chapter Member faces difficulty.
Trust grows when Karen members stand up for each other and seek solutions together. We
attempt to help boost self-esteem. Increased productivity and improved relationships result when
members of Karen are reminded of the value of their contributions to the Chapter. To appreciate
individual skills. Karen works well because each sister brings unique talents and experience to
the table. By appreciating various styles and abilities, the Chapter trusts that diversity and respect
will remain an important part of its daily operations. In conclusion, members that embody trust,
bring energy and commitment to our Chapter. This also allows the Light of the Star into our
lives!
“Where is he who has been born King of Jews? For we have seen his star in the East, and have
come to worship him.” Matthew 2:2

her daily living, was evident of such. Sister Karen Hutcherson, PWM was initiated into the Order
of the Eastern Star in March 1992 and achieved the highest degree of The Rose of the Seven
Seals. Our Chapter strives to follow Sister Karen Hutcherson’s, PWM example in putting our
best foot forward and to treat our fellow Sisters and Brothers, as we would like to be treated and to genuinely love one another wholeheartedly. Karen Chapter #4 worked under dispensation with
